12 Finalists Recognized for Innovative Ideas Advancing National Development

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed that Bahrain’s youth, represented by the Bahrain team, continue to demonstrate exceptional competence and initiative, proving their ability to achieve qualitative accomplishments that advance national development and prosperity. His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to foster a stimulating environment for creativity and innovation, supporting pioneering ideas that enrich development pathways and contribute to the Kingdom’s comprehensive progress under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

This came during His Royal Highness’s meeting today at Al-Qudaibiya Palace with the twelve finalists of the 7th edition of the Government Innovation Competition “Fikra” (Idea), in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister; His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister at the Court of the Prime Minister; and His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.

His Royal Highness congratulated the finalists, praising all qualified ideas for their innovative solutions and distinctive visions, reflecting the national cadres’ awareness, responsibility, and ability to contribute effectively to the development of various sectors.

“We take pride in every national effort made across all fields that serves the homeland and supports its progress and prosperity,” His Royal Highness said, wishing the participants continued excellence and success in advancing the government work system. He emphasized the importance of turning innovative ideas into practical projects that contribute to greater prosperity and sustainable development for the benefit of the nation and its citizens.

His Royal Highness also honored the twelve finalists for their outstanding ideas during the event.

The twelve finalists expressed their deep gratitude to His Royal Highness for his continuous support and attention, stressing that this encouragement motivates them to keep innovating and contributing to national development initiatives.

The ideas reached the final stage after multiple evaluation rounds, which included review by a committee of ministers and public voting. Among the winning ideas were:

  • “Takamul” by Captain Abdullah Waheed Mohammed Al-Manaei and Alaa Ahmed Al-Balushi (Ministry of Interior)

  • “Smart Employment Guide” by Jalal Jaafar Maki (Ministry of Legal Affairs)

  • “Tameeni” electronic platform by Ali Hussein Darwish, Maha Majid Al-Maarij, Narges Youssef Sabt, and Fatima Atiya Al-Aradi (Government Hospitals), which won the public vote.

Other finalists included innovative concepts such as “Tawazon”, “High School Curriculum Development”, “Floating Oases”, “Wasal”, “Savings and Investment Program”, “National Donations Platform ‘Ata’a’”, “Annual Leave Trading Platform”, “Smart Cat Feeder – Rahma”, and “MindForward”, developed by teams from various government ministries and agencies.
