Teen Entrepreneur from Bahrain Bayan School Supports Autism Education

A senior student at Bahrain Bayan School has transformed his passion for building computers into a meaningful act of community service.

Mohammed Basim AlSaie, 18, has been assembling his own computers since the age of 13. What began as a personal interest in technology soon evolved into a talent for designing high-performance, custom-built PCs tailored to individual requirements. Last year, he launched his website, Top Tier PC, offering customers fully customised computer systems at competitive prices.

However, Mohammed says his venture was never solely driven by profit.

Using proceeds from his online sales, he recently completed and donated a custom-built computer system to Alia Autism Center. The system was carefully designed to meet the centre’s specific needs, ensuring it supports both learning and engagement for students.

“I’ve learned that building something from scratch gives you control. You can choose to optimise for profit, or you can optimise for impact. I want to do both,” Mohammed said. “Technology should empower people. Knowing that something I created will help students learn and explore makes all the late nights worth it.”

Staff at Alia Autism Center expressed their appreciation for the donation, highlighting that the new system will enhance students’ access to interactive learning tools tailored to their individual needs.

For Mohammed, the initiative reflects his belief that technical skill and social responsibility can go hand in hand. At just 18, he has already demonstrated not only strong technical ability, but also leadership and a commitment to using entrepreneurship to make a positive difference in the community.
