Bahrain Celebrates Kuwait’s National and Liberation Day

Acting on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of the State of Kuwait to the Kingdom of Bahrain on Monday morning to mark Kuwait’s 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day.

Upon arrival at the venue, Sheikh Khalid was accompanied by His Excellency Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with several senior officials. He was received by His Excellency Counsellor Yousef Abdulqader Al-Benyan, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the Kuwaiti Embassy.

During the reception, Sheikh Khalid conveyed the congratulations and best wishes of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait; and to the brotherly people of Kuwait.

On the occasion, Sheikh Khalid affirmed that Bahrain-Kuwait relations stand as a living model of enduring brotherhood, growing stronger with time and reflecting deep-rooted historical ties and a shared destiny shaped by generations. He noted that these relations continue to receive the utmost care and attention from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait, underscoring mutual loyalty and unity within the Gulf family.

He also highlighted the positive outcomes of the recent official visit by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to Kuwait, describing it as a strong boost to bilateral relations and the strategic partnership between the two countries across various sectors, in line with shared aspirations for progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Khalid further pointed to the achievements of the Bahrain-Kuwait Joint Higher Committee, noting that its continued work and tangible results reflect the genuine commitment of both sides to structured cooperation, translating joint visions into initiatives that enhance integration and bring direct benefits to both nations and their peoples.

He added that the joy felt in Manama mirrors the celebrations in Kuwait, stressing that Bahrain and Kuwait have always stood together, united by history, kinship, and a common purpose.

Sheikh Khalid also commended Kuwait’s honorable and supportive stances toward Bahrain, while praising its notable contributions to development and modernization efforts.

For his part, Counsellor Yousef Abdulqader Al-Benyan said that celebrating Kuwait’s National Day and Liberation Day represents a cherished national occasion that reflects the depth and strength of the historic brotherly relations between Kuwait and Bahrain. He emphasized the shared history, close bonds, and enduring values that unite the two countries, supported by the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait and His Majesty the King of Bahrain.

Al-Benyan expressed his sincere appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his continued support in strengthening bilateral relations across all fields. He also thanked Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for attending the celebration, praying for continued security and prosperity for both Kuwait and Bahrain.
