HH Shaikh Nasser Tops Individual Longest Drive at PRO-AM Event

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa delivered a standout performance at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship, capturing first place in the individual Longest Drive competition on hole eight during the PRO-AM event held at the Royal Golf Club.

Competing alongside professional and amateur golfers, HH Shaikh Nasser demonstrated exceptional skill and power, securing the top position in one of the tournament’s most competitive individual challenges.

In addition to the individual accolade, Team Victorious, led by His Highness, achieved a third-place overall finish. The team included prominent international golfers such as Irish professional Padraig Harrington, Spain’s Pablo Larrazabal, along with Moulay Abdullah Benzidan and Mike Lorenzo-Vera, highlighting the strong international participation at the championship.

The event was attended by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, as well as His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment and Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club High Committee.

Commenting on the championship, HH Shaikh Nasser praised the organisers and the Royal Golf Club for delivering a professional and competitive environment, noting that the high standards of organisation allowed players to perform at their best and reflected Bahrain’s advanced standing in hosting major sporting events.
