Indian School Bahrain Hosts Grand Reception for DP World ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy

The spirit of international cricket swept through the campus of The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) this morning as the prestigious DP World ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy arrived for a special tour. The event, organized by the Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) in collaboration with the International Cricket Council (ICC), aimed to ignite passion for the sport and inspire the next generation of athletes and fans across the Kingdom.
A visiting delegation led by Project Lead Joseph Martos and BCF executives was warmly received by school officials, including Secretary V. Rajapandian, Vice-Chairman and Sports Member Dr. Mohammed Faisal, and Assistant Secretary Ranjini Mohan. Also in attendance were Executive Members Mithun Mohan and Biju George, Principal V.R. Palaniswami, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, and other senior academic administrators.
The trophy display offered students, physical education teachers, and members of the school’s cricket teams a rare opportunity to get close to the pinnacle of T20 cricket. The visit was designed to bring the excitement of the global stage directly to the student body, fostering a deeper connection to the game.
Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Chairman of The Indian School, praised the initiative, stating that such global sporting exposure provides immense inspiration to students. He noted that the event reinforces the school’s commitment to nurturing young talent while promoting values of discipline and teamwork both on and off the field.
