Vatel Bahrain Hospitality College, in collaboration with Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain, recently hosted an immersive workshop for St. Christopher’s School students enrolled in the BTEC Technical and Vocational program. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between secondary education and the thriving global tourism and hospitality industry.
The workshop specifically targeted students specializing in travel and tourism, providing them with a comprehensive look at the Bachelor of Science in International Hotel Management. This program is designed as a natural academic extension for BTEC students, offering a blend of rigorous academics and extensive practical training in 4-star and 5-star hotels both locally and internationally.
During the session, the Vatel team highlighted the unique "international education at home" model. This allows students to remain in Bahrain while gaining global professional experience through field training in leading hospitality institutions worldwide. The curriculum focuses on developing essential industry skills and exploring diverse career development paths in a sector that remains a vital pillar of the regional economy.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Manager of Vatel Bahrain, emphasized the college’s commitment to nurturing young talent. He noted that the initiative helps students explore professional horizons before entering university, enabling them to make informed decisions based on practical insights.
By fostering partnerships with institutions like St. Christopher's, Vatel Bahrain continues to strengthen the Kingdom’s hospitality sector. The college remains dedicated to providing an advanced learning environment that ensures high-quality job opportunities for graduates, preparing them to compete on a global stage.
