Forty-five vehicles have been impounded since the start of the Iranian attack, according to the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture.
The action followed incidents in which drivers caused loud disturbances that spread fear among citizens and residents and disrupted public order.
A number of drivers were arrested, and their vehicles were seized for 60 days.
The directorate made the announcement via its official X account, noting that all necessary legal measures have been implemented.
“In these temporary circumstances, your true character must be revealed through actions,” it says.
Speaking on the Ministry of Interior’s Al Aman programme, Colonel Dr. Osama Bahar urged residents to show compassion and responsibility toward their families and neighbours during sensitive times.
Col. Bahar stressed that people should be a source of comfort for their families, offering kind and positive words to ease fear and anxiety.
Support
Genuine support within the home, he noted, can help people cope better during periods of uncertainty.
He also highlighted the importance of being considerate toward neighbours.
Many residents, including children, the elderly, and those who are ill, may already feel anxious, making calm and supportive behaviour within neighbourhoods even more important.
Commenting on the role of neighbours, one citizen told The Daily Tribune that the recent attack in Sitra showed the true spirit of the community.
Comfort
“Since the first day after what happened in Sitra, neighbours have not held back in supporting each other. These moments reveal the true character of a good neighbour. Sometimes kind words from people can heal wounds and bring comfort,” she said.
Residents were also urged to avoid unnecessary noise in residential areas.
