Bahrain and Italy Strengthen Strategic Ties as HRH Prince Salman Meets PM Giorgia Meloni

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasized the continued growth of Bahrain–Italy relations, which have been strengthened through strategic cooperation across multiple sectors under the leadership and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to further expanding this partnership, creating high-value opportunities that serve the shared interests of both nations and their peoples.
He also praised Italy’s role in promoting global peace and regional stability, noting Bahrain’s ongoing efforts—led by His Majesty the King—to champion tolerance, coexistence, and human fraternity.
Following the discussions, His Royal Highness and Prime Minister Meloni witnessed the signing of several key agreements:

A cooperation agreement between ASRY and Italian shipbuilding leader Fincantieri, focused on advancing shipbuilding and marine engineering. The agreement was signed by Dr. Ahmed Al Abri, CEO of ASRY, and Eugenio Santagata, General Manager of Fincantieri’s Naval Vessels Division.

A Memorandum of Understanding between ASRY and Italian technology company Roboze to establish a smart manufacturing facility utilising advanced additive manufacturing technologies. The MoU was signed by Dr. Ahmed Al Abri and Roboze CEO Alessio Lorusso.
An official reception ceremony was held for Prime Minister Meloni, featuring the national anthems of Bahrain and Italy.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and several senior officials.
