The top performers of the Walkathon for a Cause were recognized for their outstanding dedication and enthusiasm during the event held on Friday, October 24, 2025.
Ethan Jerus emerged as the first-place winner, followed by Rejie Ladrica in second place and Ahmed Albinali in third.
Organised by the Filipino Club Bahrain (FCB) in collaboration with Water Garden City and the Capital Governorate, the walkathon drew more than 400 participants who turned every step into a gesture of hope and solidarity for the Bahrain Association of Parents and Friends of the Disabled (BAPFD).
Goodwill
The scenic Water Garden City was transformed into a lively avenue of goodwill, where participants from various nationalities, families, and organisations walked side by side to promote inclusivity and support the disabled community in Bahrain.
The success of the event was credited to the hard work and commitment of the FCB officers led by President Rosemarie Hernandez, Vice President Arthur Basbas, Treasurer Imelda Coralde, Secretary Joseph Dadea, Public Relations Officer Kathrina Canosa, Sports Director Jonathan Cabiltes, Cultural Director Aneth Avila, Professional Development Director Vhal Haduca, and Training and Development Director Zeus Saliganan.
“We walked with purpose and contributed to a meaningful cause,” said Ms. Hernandez, expressing gratitude to everyone who joined and supported the initiative.
Initiative
Vice President Mr. Basbas added, “This initiative truly catalyzed our mission of community service and charity.”
More than just a fundraising event, the Walkathon for a Cause symbolized unity and inclusivity within the Kingdom. It highlighted how expatriate communities can actively engage in social causes and contribute to the well-being of society.
The overwhelming turnout demonstrated both the enthusiasm of participants and the excellent coordination of organizers.
