Bahrain’s Academic Excellence Authority Celebrated for Driving Youth Innovation and Achievement

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, H.E. Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Muayyad, has lauded the remarkable accomplishments of Bahrain’s Academic Excellence Authority, highlighting its pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and academic growth among Bahraini youth.

H.E. Al-Muayyad made these remarks during a meeting with the Authority’s Board of Directors, which was also attended by H.E. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs. The meeting provided an overview of the Authority’s key achievements since its establishment, including the launch of its official website and the expansion of its membership to 312 individuals—a clear reflection of growing engagement with the Authority’s programs and initiatives.

The discussion also focused on the Authority’s future plans, which include the introduction of the “Ambassadors of Excellence” program, the rollout of research grants, and the development of initiatives aimed at creating an inspiring environment for knowledge exchange and the enhancement of academic skills among young Bahrainis.

Established in 2024 under Ministerial Decision No. 44, the Academic Excellence Authority operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth Affairs. Its mission is to build a dynamic network of academically distinguished youth and empower them to play an active role in Bahrain’s national development.
