Syro-Malankara Global Head to Attend 'SUKRTHAM 2025' Convention in Bahrain

The Syro-Malankara Catholic community across the Arabian Region Territory is set to hold its annual convention, 'Sukrutham 2025,' starting today (Thursday, October 2nd), in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The three-day spiritual and cultural gathering, organized for the faithful residing in the GCC, will run until October 4th and is being hosted at the Our Lady of Arabia Cathedral in Awali.
The convention will be graced by the presence of the highest authorities of the Church such as His Beatitude Cardinal Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholica Bava, the Major Archbishop and head of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church and His Lordship Bishop Aldo Berardi, the Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia (AVONA).
Organizers announced in a press conference that the event is expected to draw a large crowd, including approximately 1,500 local parishioners from Bahrain and over 500 delegates traveling from other Gulf countries.
The convention begins today at 3:30 PM with the registration of delegates, followed by a special audience with Cardinal Cleemis. A solemn Community Holy Mass (Samuhabali) will be celebrated on 3rd October in the afternoon and the day will conclude with a Public Meeting at 5:00 PM where high-profile guests, including Mr Vinod K. Jacob, the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, along with leaders of various faiths and representatives of different Christian denominations.
A special feature of the public meeting will be an awards ceremony dedicated to honoring members of the Malankara Catholic community who have excelled and made outstanding contributions in various fields.
The details of the event were shared during a press conference held at the Park Regis Hotel in Juffair. Those present included the 'Sukrutham 2025' General Convener, Father Jacob Kalluvila, alongside key committee members Abraham John, Babu Thangalathil, Robin Abraham, Shonu Chacko, and Vincent.
