Teachers and Staff Return as Bahrain Prepares for New School Year 2025/2026

Teachers, administrative staff in public schools, and academic staff at the University of Bahrain returned to their institutions on Monday, marking the start of the new academic year 2025/2026. The return comes after the summer break and the completion of preparations to ensure a smooth and organized start to classes.

The Ministry of Education announced that Tuesday, September 2, and Wednesday, September 3, will be orientation days for public school students and their parents. The initiative follows the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aiming to help students adapt and prepare for the new school year.

Schools will welcome families from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, coinciding with the students’ first days of attendance. The program includes meetings between parents and school staff, detailed briefings about the new academic year, and the distribution of student information files. These files include vouchers, offers, and discounts for school supplies.

Orientation activities will also introduce students and parents to school facilities and regulations. The ministry stressed the importance of presenting student and parent IDs and attending the school where the student is officially registered. It confirmed that all public schools are ready to host families during the orientation days.
