MP Al Asbol Inspects Tubli Bay, Calls for Urgent Environmental Action

Mohsen Ali Al Asbol, Member of Parliament, in coordination with the Supreme Council for the Environment, conducted a field visit to Tubli Bay and the villages of Al Akar and Al Ma’ameer. The visit, which included participation from local residents, aimed to closely assess the environmental situation in the area and monitor efforts to improve water quality and promote sustainability.

Al Asbol explained that the visit was prompted by complaints from residents in the Ninth District of the Capital Governorate about recent foul odors, as well as the proliferation of algae and accumulation of waste along the coasts. He emphasized that immediate action is needed to address these environmental issues.

The MP stressed the importance of finding effective and sustainable solutions to improve water quality, tackle pollution sources, and implement urgent practical measures to prevent further environmental deterioration.

The visit also reviewed the outcomes of recent government projects, including the expansion of the Ma’ameer Canal, and examined the technical and regulatory measures that have been put in place, along with the latest updates on this vital file.

Al Asbol praised the productive cooperation and prompt response of the Supreme Council for the Environment in addressing residents’ complaints and suggestions. He highlighted the importance of continued coordination between the legislative authority and relevant bodies to protect the environment, safeguard the coastline, and ensure the health and safety of nearby communities.
