King Hamad Approves New Oil and Gas Concession Agreement in Bahrain

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree-Law No. (33) of 2025, approving a new concession agreement for the Jubbah and Pre-Tawil sites in the Bahrain oil field.
The decree comes following a proposal by the Prime Minister and the approval of the Council of Ministers. The agreement, signed on August 6, 2025, is between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by the Ministry of Oil and Environment, and the companies Bapco Energies (B.S.C.) and EOG Resources Bahrain Awali W.L.L.
The law directs the Prime Minister and relevant ministers to implement its provisions, which come into effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
