Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Joins Gulf Talks on Gaza Crisis
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, took part in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Coordination Meeting, held today at Kuwait’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
The meeting was chaired by Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, who currently presides over the GCC Ministerial Council. It brought together the foreign ministers of all GCC member states, along with GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi.
During the discussions, the ministers focused on strengthening joint Gulf coordination ahead of the upcoming international conference “Implementing the Two-State Solution,” hosted by Saudi Arabia and France at the UN headquarters.
The meeting also reviewed ongoing regional and international efforts to secure the release of hostages and detainees, alleviate the suffering of civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories, and achieve a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Jamal Fares Al-Ruwaie, and an accompanying delegation attended the meeting alongside Minister Al Zayani.
