Bahrain's Interior Minister: ‘The Palestinian Cause Lives in All Our Hearts’
“The Palestinian cause lives in all our hearts,” said Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, adding that “the suffering of the Palestinian people is one of the deepest sources of pain for every Arab citizen.”
He made the remarks as he welcomed Palestinian Interior Minister Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh and his accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain on Tuesday. The visit, he noted, plays an important role in strengthening joint security cooperation and coordination to address the region’s growing security challenges.
The Palestinian minister was greeted with a ceremonial Honour Guard upon his arrival at the Interior Ministry, where he was received by Shaikh Rashid, the Deputy Interior Minister, the Chief of Public Security, and several senior officials.
During the meeting, Shaikh Rashid reaffirmed Bahrain’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to all efforts aimed at achieving a just, peaceful, and lasting solution. He also stressed the importance of protecting civilians, releasing hostages and detainees, and halting escalation to preserve regional security and stability.
For his part, Minister Hab Al-Reeh expressed his pride in visiting Bahrain, conveying the greetings of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas “Abu Mazen” to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He praised Bahrain for its honorable and steadfast stance in support of the Palestinian people.
The two sides held bilateral discussions focused on strengthening security coordination, improving operational collaboration, and addressing regional and international security developments. Both ministers agreed to develop new mechanisms to enhance joint efforts.
