His Highness Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has affirmed that the paths of joint development between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom enjoy mutual interest and that both nations are working to enhance them towards more advanced levels. He made these remarks during a meeting with Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the United Kingdom’s Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, at Riffa Palace on Monday.

Building stronger ties

HH Shaikh Isa reiterated the historical depth of Bahrain-UK relations, stressing the importance of expanding cooperation across multiple sectors, particularly in the fields of defence and security. He highlighted the role of the UK and its allies in promoting international peace and stability, describing these partnerships as essential to regional security.

Defence and stability focus

Vice Admiral Ahlgren’s visit further reinforced the shared commitment to advancing military collaboration between Bahrain and the UK. The discussions addressed bilateral defence initiatives and reviewed the latest regional and international security developments.

Regional cooperation

Both sides stressed the importance of continued joint efforts to tackle emerging security challenges and to contribute positively to regional stability. HH Shaikh Isa noted that Bahrain remains committed to enhancing its cooperation with the UK for the benefit of both nations.
