Deadly accident in Riffa
A Bahraini man was killed on the spot in a horrific accident that occurred in Riffa yesterday.
Interior Ministry said on its official Twitter page, “One person was killed in a traffic accident between a car and a bus on Riffa Avenue in Riffa area and the concerned authorities are on the spot.”
Sources informed DT News that the man was identified as Mohammed Tariq Al Najem, 23, and that he was buried in Manama Cemetery at 4pm.
The deceased was a third year student at the Royal Academy of Police.
“The mishap occurred at 5.30am. The driver was over-speeding and the car rammed into the bus that was stopped at a red traffic light. He was stuck in the car, which became a piece of collided metal. Paramedics announced him dead on the spot,” the sources added.
