HM King Hamad Returns to Kingdom After Leading Arab Summit in Cairo

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the Arab Summit, has returned to Bahrain after heading the Kingdom’s delegation at the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the summit level, known as the Palestine Summit.
During his visit, His Majesty chaired the summit proceedings, which were hosted in Egypt’s Administrative Capital, Cairo, at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The high-level gathering brought together Arab leaders to discuss pressing regional issues.
Before departing Cairo, King Hamad was seen off at Cairo International Airport by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population. Also present was Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League.
His Majesty’s participation reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to Arab unity and regional stability, as well as its support for the Palestinian cause.
