Bahrain’s King and Egyptian Delegation Discuss Future of Strategic Relations
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received an Egyptian delegation today at Al-Sakhir Palace. The delegation included Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib.
The visit coincided with the second meeting of the Bahrain-Egypt Governmental Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation. The Egyptian officials conveyed warm greetings from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, along with his best wishes for Bahrain’s continued prosperity.
His Majesty King Hamad welcomed the delegation and requested them to convey his greetings and best wishes to President El-Sisi and the Egyptian people. He reaffirmed Bahrain’s deep-rooted ties with Egypt, emphasizing the strength of their historic relations and their ongoing commitment to expanding cooperation across various sectors.
King Hamad praised the fruitful outcomes of the committee’s meeting, highlighting its role in enhancing strategic partnerships and strengthening trade, investment, and economic collaboration. He also lauded Egypt’s development under President El-Sisi’s leadership, recognizing the country’s remarkable progress in various fields.
Additionally, His Majesty expressed appreciation for the contributions of the Egyptian expatriate community in Bahrain, acknowledging their longstanding role in the nation’s development.
The Egyptian delegation, in turn, extended its gratitude to King Hamad for his warm reception and hospitality, expressing its commitment to furthering the strong bilateral ties between Bahrain and Egypt.
