Several people arrested after a massive brawl in Sanad
Manama : Several people were arrested after a massive brawl between locals and expats near a constructions and sanitary tools store in Sanad on Sunday.
The fight apparently erupted inside the shop as a Bahraini customer disagreed with the Bangladeshi salesmen on the price of some tools.
The customer threatened the salesman using a screwdriver on a desk inside the shop.
The latter pushed the customer outside the shop, as shown in CCTV footage that DT News obtained a copy of. The footage showed the inside of the shop at the time of the incident (around 06:30pm).
It also showed that another man came inside the shop and began arguing with the salesman around 20 minutes later.
The argument quickly escalated into a fist fight that was brought outside the shop and turned into a big brawl.
Sources informed that hoes, sticks and rocks were used in the fight, adding that the police intervened and an ambulance was seen on the spot.
“In response to a circulated video on a fight in Sanad, those involved were arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution,” Interior Ministry said in a statement.
