Three men gets jail for joining terror outfit
Manama : Three men implicated in joining Saraya Al-Ashtar (Al-Ashtar Brigades) have been awarded jail sentence, with two having their Bahraini nationality stripped.
The first and second defendants, whose nationality were stripped received 15 years and seven years in prison, respectively, while the third defendant was given three years behind bars.
Saraya Al-Ashtar Brigades, a terror organisation, had owned up responsibility for several attacks targeting police officers, including the Daih explosion that killed three police officers in 2014. Two other men were also tried in this case but were acquitted.
