Bahrain, U.S. Reaffirm Strategic Partnership as Ambassador Bondy Bids Farewell

Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa praised the longstanding and growing relationship between Bahrain and the United States during a farewell meeting with U.S. Ambassador Steven C. Bondy, whose diplomatic term in Bahrain has come to an end.

HH Shaikh Khalid highlighted the deep-rooted and strategic partnership between the two countries, noting the continued progress in bilateral ties. He emphasized the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation across various sectors in ways that benefit both nations and their people.

“There is mutual interest in building on the progress achieved and opening up new avenues for collaboration that align with our shared development goals,” Shaikh Khalid said during the meeting, which took place at Gudaibiya Palace.

He thanked Ambassador Bondy for his efforts throughout his time in Bahrain, particularly in boosting cooperation between the two nations. The Deputy Prime Minister wished him success in his future assignments.

The meeting also touched on regional and international developments, as well as topics of mutual concern.

Ambassador Bondy expressed his deep gratitude for the support and cooperation he received during his tenure, and extended his best wishes for Bahrain’s continued growth and prosperity.
