Rami Aziz announces retirement from MMA

Manama : Iraqi / Swedish fighter Rami Aziz aged 25 has announced on his Facebook page his decision to walk away from his career as a professional MMA fighter.

Aziz (8-4 MMA) competed in his last bout under the Brave Combat Federation banner when he lost in the main event of Brave 1, saying he gradually lost the will and motivation to compete in combat sports and because of that, he has no desire to go on.

Aziz said his will to win hasn’t been as big as the fighter standing across the cage from him. “Everything has a beginning and an end,” Aziz wrote in social media. “Some people start their career at this age but I have competed in full contact sports continually for the last 10 years. It feels the best time to stop now.”

Aziz has been a major figure on the Swedish and Middle Eastern MMA scene, having fought in top regional organisations.Aziz will always be remembered as the triathlete who loves to throw leather.

Aziz plans on focusing more on family life, developing himself as a triathlete and staying in the MMA scene as a trainer.
