Siraj Al Kooheji passes away
Manama: Bahraini pioneer businessman Siraj Al Kooheji died yesterday at the age of 48.
Al Kooheji, who went to attend the weekly Majlis of the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, fell unconscious due to a cardiac arrest before the Majlis started. He was immediately rushed to Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Hospital.
The deceased was known for maintaining good relations with all segments of the Bahraini society and was a familiar face at local majlises. He was also known for his generous contributions to charity works and assisting the needy.
Al Kooheji will be laid to rest at 9am today at Muharraq Graveyard.
Condolences could be offered by men at Al Kooheji Majlis in Hunainiya between Asr and Isha prayers (3pm – 8pm) for the next three days, and for women at Al Kooheji Majlis 2 in Janabiya.
