Shura Council hails Saudi anti-terror role
Bahrain's Shura Council has commended the efforts being exerted by Saudi Arabia to protect the region from terrorism and extremism, and maintain its security and stability.
The council stressed that all acts aimed at sparking sedition and subverting security and civic peace are widely rejected worldwide, being against the tolerant precepts of Islam and represent an irresponsible tampering with the lives of innocent civilians.
In a statement, the Shura Council affirmed sovereign countries' right to take the measures they deem necessary to confront threats to their security and stability, being domestic issues that no one has the right to interfere in them, as stipulated by international convents and covenants, praying to Allah Almighty to enable Saudi Arabia to carry on its leading role in championing the Right, and defending the interests of Arab and Islamic countries.
The Shura Council praised the long-standing solid relations bonding Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and their brotherly peoples.
