Gemma pens short story about her bond character
Los Angeles : Actress Gemma Arterton has written a short story based on her Bond film character titled “Strawberry Fields”. The British actress starred in “Quantum of Solace” opposite Daniel Craig in 2008, and believes the high-profile role gave her a big career boost, while helping her secure the finances necessary to shoot her latest film “The Escape”, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“I’ve written this short story, which I could get in so much trouble for. It’s called Woke Bond Woman and it’s about what my Bond girl should have done, but it’s really funny,” Arterton told publication Cover Media. Areterton thinks it is high time a woman took on the James Bond role, but she does not want a female 007 to become just like 007: “I’ve always thought there should be a Bond woman... (but) I would not want to see her take advantage of a young man,” the actress added.
But Arterton has other roles planned for herself including a film project with Felicity Jones, thanks to the stars’ commitment to the Time’s Up anti-harassment and equality movement.
