CISF Jawan killed in clash at Kozhikode Airport in Kerala
Runway Temporarily Blocked
KOZHIZODE: One person has died and two others are injured after a clash broke out between the airport staff and a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at the Karipur Airport in Kerala's Kozhikode this evening.
The CISF personnel died after he was shot during the clash, say sources. The clashes happened after a dispute over the entry of Airport Authroity of India officials at the airport, reports Press Trust of India.
Aircraft are not being allowed to land at the runway, which has temporarily been blocked, say sources.
Additional police force has been rushed to the airport.
