Mother, baby die as car slams into parked truck in UAE

Fujairah: An Emirati mother and her infant daughter were killed when their family car crashed into a parked truck along the Fujairah–Khor Fakkan Road in the United Arab Emirates. The fatal collision occurred at around noon in the Fouz Petroleum area.
The 28-year-old mother and her nine-month-old daughter died from the impact. Her husband sustained severe injuries, and the couple's three-year-old daughter was also hurt.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transferred both surviving family members to Shaikh Khalifa Hospital in Fujairah for urgent medical treatment.
Brigadier Saleh Mohammed Abdullah Al Dhanhani, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Fujairah Police, stated that preliminary findings indicate driver distraction caused the vehicle to swerve off course into the stationary roadside truck suddenly. Authorities continue to investigate the crash and urge all motorists to maintain full focus and strictly avoid using a mobile phone while driving.
