NEW YORK: Jay-Z’s concert at New York’s Yankee Stadium faced a lengthy delay Sunday night after a security breach involving hundreds of ticketless individuals forced organizers to lock down the venue.
The incident prevented thousands of legitimate ticket holders from entering the stadium for several hours, causing significant disruption to the event schedule.
According to reports, large groups of people without tickets stormed the gates, overwhelming security and creating a dangerous situation for attendees.
Organizers were forced to close all stadium entrances to regain control, eventually reopening them cautiously to ensure the safety of those inside and outside the perimeter.
Despite the chaos, the 56-year-old artist finally took the stage around 12:15 am for the 40,000 fans gathered inside. This show concluded his three-night series, marking his return to major solo performances since 2017.
