GCC–EU ties see steady growth, says GCC chief

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, stated that relations between the Gulf states and the European Union are witnessing significant development across various fields.
He also praised the role of the Republic of Cyprus in strengthening dialogue and partnership between the GCC and the European Union during its current presidency of the EU.
The remarks were made during a luncheon hosted by Charis Moritsis, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and representative of the current EU presidency, in honour of the GCC Secretary-General. The event took place on Sunday in Riyadh.
Al-Budaiwi noted that both the GCC and the European Union are consistently working to build and expand partnerships in multiple sectors, aiming to achieve shared interests and mutual benefits.
He reaffirmed that cooperation between the two sides continues to grow, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening strategic relations and enhancing collaboration in various areas.
