GCC Ministers Discuss Economic Integration

Minister of Industry and Commerce, H.E. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro chaired the joint meeting of the GCC Commercial Cooperation Committee and Industrial Cooperation Committee, held as part of the Kingdom's presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The meeting was attended by GCC Ministers of Commerce and Industry, along with GCC Secretary General H.E. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, and was conducted via videoconference.

During the meeting, H.E. Fakhro highlighted that the discussions were held in line with the decisions of the GCC Supreme Council issued during the Jeddah Summit, emphasizing the importance of strengthening coordination among member states to support economic integration and sustainable growth.

He stressed the need to enhance cooperation in the commercial and industrial sectors, while improving the resilience of strategic industries in response to evolving regional and global challenges.

The meeting reviewed several key agenda items focused on advancing Gulf economic integration, expanding commercial and industrial cooperation, and enhancing coordination in the logistics sector and other strategic areas.

The discussions reaffirmed the GCC countries' commitment to strengthening economic partnerships and supporting initiatives that contribute to regional development and competitiveness.
