China Blacklists 20 Japanese Organisations Over Security Concerns

Beijing: China has added 20 Japanese organisations to its export control blacklist, prohibiting the export of Chinese dual-use products to the listed groups without prior government approval.
Beijing's Commerce Ministry stated that the measure was made to protect national security, claiming that the organisations had helped to boost Japan's military capabilities. The blacklist covers firms and research organisations involved in defence and sophisticated technology.
The restrictions force Chinese exporters to acquire official authorisation before exporting dual-use equipment that potentially have both civilian and military applications. The action is expected to further influence relations between China and Japan amid escalating regional security and defence conflicts.
