Auckland: Rachin Ravindra, New Zealand's all-rounder, is doubtful for the forthcoming home series against India after dislocating his right shoulder during a commercial shoot in Auckland.
Ravindra sustained the injury on Wednesday while trying a diving catch during a commercial shot for Sky. New Zealand Cricket stated that initial medical evaluations revealed no severe structural damage, although his comeback will be contingent on his recovery progress.
New Zealand Performance Manager Mike Sandle called the incident a ‘freak accident’ and said the team was focused on Ravindra's rehabilitation. The five-match Twenty20 International series against India begins on October 22, followed by ODIs and Tests.
