Peru and Qatar Reaffirm Bilateral Ties

The Interim President of Peru, José María Ballcázar, received the credentials of Qatar’s new ambassador to the South American nation during an official ceremony in Lima.

Abdullah bin Jassim Al Zayera presented his letters of credence to the Peruvian leader, formally beginning his role as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Peru.

During the meeting, the Qatari envoy conveyed greetings from the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, along with his wishes for the interim president’s good health and for continued progress and prosperity for the people of Peru.

President Ballcázar, in turn, asked the ambassador to relay his greetings to the Amir of Qatar. He wished the Qatari leader good health and happiness, and expressed hopes for the continued development and growth of the State of Qatar.

The ceremony underscores ongoing diplomatic engagement between Doha and Lima, as both countries seek to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.
