Toddler Dies After Falling From Residential Building Staircase in Sharjah

Sharjah: Mohammad Arshman, a two years old Pakistani boy, died tragically after falling from a residential building staircase in Sharjah, UAE. The incident is currently being investigated by Sharjah Police and child protection authorities.
According to local sources, CCTV footage analysed by investigators allegedly showed two young girls, aged approximately ten , living in the same building, playing with the toddler outside his family's flat just before the accident. The video showed one girl calling the child towards the staircase area while another is inside near the staircase window. Moments later, the kid fell from an opening near the staircase window on the third level to the ground below.
The toddler is their first kid of his parents, born after five years of marriage, and the couple have a 2 months old daughter.
The building watchman stated that he rushed to the area upon hearing screaming and then reviewed the camera footage before calling police. Emergency responders, forensic teams, and police spent hours at the building gathering evidence and reviewing numerous camera records.
Sharjah Police confirmed that the issue has been reported to the child protection authorities. Officials said the specific circumstances and motives for the incident are unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
