US Strikes Iran in Self Defence

Washington: The United States military carried out targeted strikes against Iranian military facilities over the weekend after Iran allegedly shot down an American drone operating in international waters, US officials said.
According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the strikes targeted radar installations and drone command-and-control sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island. The operation was described as a measured response to what Washington called aggressive actions by Iran during an ongoing ceasefire.
The U.S. military said fighter aircraft also destroyed Iranian air defense systems, a ground control station, and two attack drones that it claimed posed a threat to vessels moving through regional waters.
No American personnel were injured during the operation.
CENTCOM said the United States would continue to take action to protect its forces, assets and maritime interests in the region if faced with further threats.
