London: According to court reports, emails showing that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was revealing private government information while serving as a trade ambassador were sent to Buckingham Palace six years ago.

It has been revealed that the Lord Chamberlain, the most senior officer in the Royal Household, acquired an archive of 30,000 emails in 2020 including information about the former prince's illicit financial dealings.

The emails, disclosed as part of a larger Epstein-related document leak, reportedly show Andrew discussing sensitive trade and investment information while acting as Britain's trade envoy from 2001 to 2011. Some texts appear to contain information regarding business possibilities, official visits, and financial issues, which critics say should have kept confidential.

Reports that palace officials were handed the material years before its official release are likely to fuel suspicion about what senior royal officials knew and whether any concerns were expressed internally. Buckingham Palace has not officially revealed how the emails were handled following reception.

The findings come to light as British authorities continue to investigate suspicions that Andrew may have misused information gathered through his official trade envoy position. Andrew has denied any wrongdoing, but the revelations have fuelled continuing investigations and greater scrutiny of his longstanding relationship with Epstein.
