Qatar, Japan Discuss Regional Diplomacy and Iran-US Talks

His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, received a phone call from Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi. During the call, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation and ongoing regional diplomatic efforts.
According to a statement, the officials reviewed relations between Qatar and Japan and explored ways to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.
The discussions also focused on mediation efforts aimed at easing tensions between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including diplomatic initiatives involving Pakistan.
During the call, Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of all parties responding positively to the ongoing mediation efforts in order to address the root causes of the crisis through peaceful dialogue and diplomacy.
He said constructive engagement could help pave the way towards a sustainable agreement that would prevent further escalation in the region.
