Etihad Rail has unveiled the official uniforms that will be worn by staff across its upcoming passenger rail services, marking another step towards the launch of the UAE’s national passenger railway network.

The newly revealed uniforms, designed in grey with red accents, will be worn by onboard hosts, station teams and other customer-facing employees when passenger operations begin in 2026.

According to Etihad Rail, the designs were created to reflect professionalism, comfort and modern Emirati hospitality while also supporting the practical demands of railway operations in the UAE’s climate.

The company said the uniforms are intended to become part of the overall passenger experience, representing the teams who will assist travellers across the network and help shape the future of rail travel in the country.

The unveiling comes as Etihad Rail continues preparations for the phased rollout of passenger services, which are expected to connect major cities and regions across the UAE through a network stretching around 900 kilometres from Ghuwaifat to Fujairah.

Grey tones in the uniforms were selected to represent reliability and calmness, while the red details reflect the energy and ambition associated with the Etihad Rail brand and the UAE’s broader connectivity vision.

Adhraa Almansoori, Executive Director of Commercial at Etihad Rail Mobility, said the uniforms represent the people who will become the public face of the passenger rail experience in the UAE.

She added that the designs were developed to reflect the company’s focus on safety, professionalism, hospitality and national pride as it prepares to welcome passengers onboard for the first time.

Etihad Rail confirmed that further announcements regarding stations, passenger services and customer experience initiatives will be made in the coming weeks.

Established in 2009, Etihad Rail oversees the development and operation of the UAE’s national railway network, which currently supports freight services through multiple terminals and ports across the country. Passenger services are expected to provide a new transport option for commuters, families and business travellers, linking 11 cities and regions nationwide.
