Israel Launches ‘Limited’ Ground Operations Against Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon

Jerusalem: The Israel Defense Forces said on Monday that it has begun what it described as “limited and targeted” ground operations against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.
According to the military , troops from the 91st Division have entered areas in southern Lebanon to strike key Hezbollah strongholds and strengthen Israel’s forward defense lines.
The operations are aimed at dismantling militant infrastructure and eliminating fighters operating near the border, the military said, adding that the move is intended to reduce threats and improve security for residents of northern Israel.
Before the ground operations began, Israeli forces carried out a series of air and artillery strikes targeting what the military described as multiple militant sites in the area to reduce risks to troops entering the operational zone.
