U.S. Forces Intensify Operations Against Iran as Naval Pressure Mounts

U.S. military forces have continued round-the-clock operations in the region as part of Operation Epic Fury, with the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group operating from the Mediterranean Sea.
According to U.S. officials, the presence of the strike group, alongside another carrier strike group already positioned in the Middle East, has increased naval pressure on Iran and expanded operational reach across the region.
The developments come amid competing narratives about the situation. Iranian state sources and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have claimed that U.S. forces are withdrawing from the region and alleged that American military assets including a destroyer and fighter aircraft have been destroyed, while also claiming heavy U.S. casualties.
U.S. officials have rejected these statements, describing them as misinformation.
Military updates from Washington indicate that operations are continuing to intensify, with U.S. forces expanding strike activity deeper into Iranian airspace. Officials also reported that more than 20 vessels linked to the Iranian regime have been destroyed through coordinated operations involving air, naval, and ground forces.
Over the past four days, U.S. military assessments claim that Iranian drone launches have been reduced by approximately 73 percent, while ballistic missile launches have dropped by around 86 percent.
The Pentagon says the ongoing operations demonstrate the scale and reach of U.S. power-projection capabilities in the region as tensions remain high.
