Indian Nationals in Iran Advised to Leave Amid Evolving Situation
The Government of India has reiterated its advisory for all Indian nationals currently in Iran to exercise caution and consider leaving the country due to the evolving situation.
The advisory, first issued on 5 January 2026 and reiterated on 14 January 2026, applies to students, pilgrims, business persons, and tourists. Indian citizens are urged to leave Iran using all available means, including commercial flights.
Safety Precautions for Indians in Iran
All Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) are advised to:
