Kuwaiti student expelled from French university

A female Kuwaiti student has been expelled from a reputed French university for posting ‘strongly-worded comments’ on Facebook which were deemed anti-Semitic.

"The comments violate the values and mission of the academic establishment", said the University of Science Po as it announced the decision to expel the Kuwaiti student who is in her third year of study.

This is the first time a student is expelled from Science Po, which was established in 1872 and which was listed last year by the QS World University Rankings Sciences as the 5th best university in the world for Politics and International studies.

The Jewish group of militants known as ‘The Inglorious Bastards’ and which campaigns against anti-Semitism criticised the Facebook comments of the Kuwaiti student who said "You Jews, you have no place in the world. That is why you suffer from discrimination wherever you go".

Chatting with other Facebook users who accused her of being racist, she wrote: “I am not an immigrant who comes from France. I come from Kuwait and my country can buy you and your family and put you into ovens”.

Appearing before an official from the Kuwaiti Embassy, she confirmed her comments but denied writing the word ‘ovens’, reported Arabic daily Alrai.
