Kuwait Team Wins GCC Security Research Award

A team from Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has won first place in the 2024 Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Award for Security Research, competing at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) level. Their research focused on “The Negative Effects of Social Media on Gulf Families and Its Security Implications.”

The winning team included Mr. Ali Ahmed Amini, Director of Crime Prevention and Head of the Violence and Addiction Prevention Program (Together), Dr. Khawla Hazim Al-Shamsi, an academic lecturer in the Training Department, and Second Lieutenant Ali Kazem Al-Sindi. They were honored during a recent meeting of GCC Interior Ministers held in Kuwait.

The team expressed great pride in their achievement, highlighting that the award recognizes their efforts and contributes to advancing scientific and security initiatives in the region.
