Google Brings AI-Powered Search to the Middle East
Google has begun rolling out its most advanced AI search tool, called AI Mode, across the Middle East and North Africa. The feature will first appear for users in the UAE over the coming days.
AI Mode is built on a special version of Google’s latest Gemini 2.5 model and is designed to answer complex, multi-part questions that usually take several separate searches.
For UAE residents, this could make daily tasks much easier—whether it’s comparing the newest smartphones, planning a road trip, or following step-by-step guides online.
Google says people testing the tool are already asking questions two to three times longer than usual. That’s because the system can break a single question into smaller parts, search for each one, and then bring everything together. This process, known as “query fan-out,” allows the AI to dig deeper into the web and pull information from a wider variety of sources.
AI Mode will appear as a new tab on the Google Search results page and in the Google app on both Android and iOS as it becomes available to everyone.
