Ancient Stone Cross Discovered on Sir Bani Yas Island

Archaeologists in Abu Dhabi have uncovered an ancient stone cross dating back to the 7th or 8th century, the Department of Culture and Tourism announced on Monday.
The cross was found at the site of a Christian monastery on Sir Bani Yas Island during recent excavations. Experts say the discovery sheds new light on the region’s rich history of cultural and religious diversity, highlighting how different communities have lived together for centuries.
