Naomi Watts to receive Golden Eye Award at Zurich Film Festival

Naomi Watts will receive the Golden Eye Award at the 2026 Zurich Film Festival, where she will also present her new film The Housewife and discuss her career in a ZFF Masters session.
The Mulholland Drive actress will accept the honour in person on Sept. 26. Festival CEO Christian Jungen praised the two-time Oscar nominee for her emotional depth, versatility and commitment to her roles.
In The Housewife, Watts plays an elegant 1960s New York woman whose perfect life begins to unravel when a young New York Times journalist uncovers clues suggesting her husband was a Nazi officer.
The drama, also starring Tye Sheridan, Michael Imperioli and Luke Evans, will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 10, ahead of its Zurich screening.
The Zurich Film Festival runs from Sept. 24 to Oct. 4.
