Polygreen Launches Reusable Foodware System at World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: Polygreen, a global provider of circular economy solutions, has launched “Again, Please”, a reusable foodware system designed to replace single-use plastics. The launch took place during the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, as the UAE continues its shift towards a circular economy.

During WFES, hot and cold reusable cups from Again, Please are being used by participating exhibitors at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. This move showcases how reusable foodware can be applied at large-scale events. The brand is also featured at the Polygreen stand, highlighting the importance of circular infrastructure in reducing waste.

The launch aligns with the UAE’s recent laws to phase out single-use plastic products, supporting national efforts to promote sustainable consumption.

Athanasios Polychronopoulos, Chairman and Group CEO of Polygreen, said the initiative shows how policies, infrastructure, and reusable solutions can work together to reduce plastic waste. He noted that replacing disposable cups with reusable ones helps businesses move from sustainability goals to real impact.

Again, Please is a closed-loop, reusable packaging system created for events, exhibitions, entertainment venues, and food and beverage operators. In addition to cups, it offers customised reusable packaging supported by a complete system that includes collection points, logistics, industrial washing, and reuse, ensuring hygiene and efficiency.

A key part of the system is the Again, Please wash hub located in the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi. This facility, the first of its kind in the UAE, is designed for high-volume, food-grade washing and quick turnaround, allowing reusable items to be safely returned for use.

Theodossios Kassapantoniou, General Manager of Again, Please, said the goal is to make reuse simple, accessible, and commercially practical by providing full support, from washing and logistics to on-ground deployment.

Before its official launch at WFES, the system was tested at several events in Abu Dhabi, where it recorded high return rates and strong public participation.

By replacing disposable foodware with reusable alternatives, Again, Please helps reduce landfill waste, lower carbon emissions, and support measurable environmental, social, and governance (ESG) outcomes. The launch highlights the growing role of reusable solutions in supporting the UAE’s sustainability and waste reduction goals.
