Man in UAE Finds Stones Instead of iPhone in Sealed Box
Dubai – What was supposed to be a joyful moment turned into shock for Ahmed Saeed, who discovered stones inside the box of his brand-new iPhone 17.
The incident happened on Thursday evening after Saeed bought the device from a mobile shop in Al Ain. Like many excited buyers, he decided not to open the box at the store, saving the unboxing for home with his family.
“The packaging looked perfect. It was sealed, had the right weight, and felt completely genuine,” Saeed said.
But when he finally opened it, he was stunned to find the box neatly packed with stones cut to match the weight of a smartphone.
The shopkeeper, equally surprised, said the phone was not sourced from an official distributor. While denying any wrongdoing, he admitted the product might have come through an unreliable supply chain.
